In honor of Comic-Con, this week’s Pack and Play is Phonogramed in. In the follow up to their hip shaking music lover’s wet dream of a comic book, Rue Britannia, (click here to read the first issue) they are currently tapping out The Singles Club. Every issue is set in the same club on the same night. There are three rules:
- No Boy Singers
- You Must Dance
- No Magic
Following these rules, Seth Bingo and Silent Girl spin through their set. I mish-mash of British electro, Swedish Pop, American Indie, Motown, and Blondie. To try and make sense of it would repeatedly fail (unless it was in comic book form). A girly-whirl of colored lights. Mixed drinks in plastic cups out on the dance floor. As the songs thump against each other, the Feminine winks and gyrates through the crowd. You are getting lucky tonight.
Magic.
Welcome to The Singles Club.
